2021 Auto World ThunderJet Release 33 SC363 – Looney Tunes

It’s the early 1970’s and even earlier on a Saturday morning. You just sat down in the living room with your bowl of cereal (I was a Lucky Charms fan back when there were only 4 types of “Charms”), and oddly enough we had 4 TV channels. Saturday morning was special, it was cartoon time. Unlike today, Saturday morning was pretty much the only day and time we saw cartoons on TV. It was also the only time we kids were able to take control of the channel knob (nope, no remotes back then) and choose what we wanted to watch. Cartoon legends were born back then. Scooby Doo, The Pink Panther and the Archie’s were Saturday favorites, but the show I always waited for was the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour, showing the great Looney Tunes Cartoons with all our favorite characters. So after the empty cereal bowl was put in the sink, it was time to get out the slot car track and settle in for Looney Tune cartoons and some track time. Let’s take a look at this latest release.

Looney Tunes #1 1963 Buick Riviera – Daffy Duck

Looney Tunes #2 1967 Mercury Cougar – Porky Pig

Looney Tunes #3 1970 Chevy Corvette – Speedy Gonzales

Looney Tunes #4 1953 Studebaker Funny Car – Tasmanian Devil

All four cars in this release have the Auto World ThunderJet Ultra G Chassis cast in a transparent lime green. Both the chassis and the gear plate are cast in the clear lime green. The rims are decked out in chrome lime and topped off with red tires, front and rear.

As we covered in the Deluxe Pit Kit article, the new Auto World ThunderJet releases are now equipped with the new metal guide pin. A great improvement for performance and durability.

Here is the packaging for the new Looney Tunes release. Look for these at your local hobby shop or favorite online store.

Auto World’s latest ThunderJet Release Number 33 (SC363) brings all that Saturday morning fun back to life. With four cars covering some of the great Looney Tune’s characters, they are now available to add to your collection and maybe share on a Saturday morning with your kids and their favorite breakfast cereal, maybe even some Lucky Charms?
