2009 Auto World ThunderJet Series 5

Auto World released it’s fifth series of ThunderJets with a mixed collection of cars. This series had six cars total, with two sets of paint schemes. I do not have any records of a third group of “White Lightning” special releases for Series 5. This release was in small numbers and is very rare compared to other releases.

1957 Chevy Bel Air

The 1957 Chevy Bel Air in this release came in dark blue/white with yellow flames and turquoise/white.

1957 Chevy Suburban Panel Truck

The 1957 Chevy Suburban Panel Truck in this release came in red/black and copper metallic/black.

1966 Volkswagen Beetle

The 1966 Volkswagen Beetle in this release came in dark green and blue.

1969 Ford Ice Cream Truck

The 1969 Ford Ice Cream Truck in this release came in white and light blue.

1964 Ford Cobra Daytona

The 1964 Ford Cobra Daytona in this release came in white with red/blue stripes and red with white stripes.

1966 Chevy Nova SS

The 1966 Chevy Nova SS in this release came in red and gunmetal metallic.

The 1966 Volkswagen Beetle, 1969 Ford Ice Cream Truck and 1966 Chevy Nova SS were first time releases in this series.
