So what is a muscle car? Traditional definition describes it as an intermediate or small bodied car with a high horsepower V-8 engine. Over the course of time that definition has expanded to include most classic cars with big block monster motors, insane horse power and road ripping performance. Auto World’s new Thunderjet release #27 (SC349) Muscle Car USA presents some of those classics. A wide range of makes and models are covered in this release, sure to have something for everyone.

The 1960’s and 70’s were the highlight era of the muscle car. These origins gave rise to the Camaro 1LEs and Hellcats and GT500s we enjoy so much today. The 400 horsepower creations from back in the day are well represented in this release and cover the range of makes and models. We haven’t seen some of the re-releases in some time and it’s good to have them available again for both the new and established HO enthusiast. I personally liked seeing the Corvette and company version of the El Camino in this release. There were no changes to report in the ThunderJet chassis in this round.
