Auto World’s first foray into licensed slot car merchandise came out with Xtraction release number 5 and the introduction of the Dukes of Hazzard series of cars. The Fast and Furious releases were under the Johnny Lightning banner. The 1969 Dodge Charger (General Lee), the Jeep CJ-5 and Monaco Police car were new bodies introduced in this release, with the GTX and Camaro being reworked for Daisy’s and Cooter’s cars. This release had four variations, a standard version, a “dirty” version, an iWheels version in pearl white and a chrome version in various chrome colors.
