The latest Auto World 4 Gear release covers the NHRA drag racing world and has some re-tooled bodies! This update to the Top Fuel bodies now includes the cockpit canopy. The canopy was introduced into Top Fuel back in 2012 as a safety option for the drivers to adopt. Several have the canopy added to their quarter mile missiles, but a handful still have not converted to the concept. Although introduced as a safety component, some drivers believe it give a bit of aerodynamic advantage as well. Many drag racers are thankful to Don Schumacher for sharing the safety design. Anton Brown and Leah Pruett have praised the safety features of the canopy, saying it brings a level of protection, the open cockpit does not have. The canopy costs around $20,000 per car, a small price for the life saving features it provides. The new Auto World 4 Gear Release #3 (SC398) Top Fuel Dragster now include this canopy and adds some updated realism to our scale quarter mile hobby.
