2020 Auto World Xtraction Release 30 SC354 – Muscle Car U.S.A.

As the Summer season winds up for the year, late evening cruises and weekend swap meets give way to tailgating parties and pumpkin-runs. But the really cool cars we all love to watch are still the center of attention at these season changing events. The new 2020 Auto World X-Traction Release, number 30 for those keeping count, hits the shelves this Fall. This release (SC354) has a great collection of some the finest muscle, both recent and past. Some new paint schemes really make this collection unique and highlight some of the factory’s finest efforts in eye catching colors and graphics. Watch for these at your favorite hobby dealer or web-store later this Fall. Let’s take a close look at these latest offerings.

#1 1955 Chevy Bel Air – Candy Red and White/Blue with Flames

In this release, Auto World puts up some really slick gasser era type paint jobs. The first is reminiscent of gasser glory with the cubic inch stripe showing off the “496” lurking under the hood of the “Renegade” ‘55 Chevy. The second is a wild white and blue flamed street rod, ready to rip the asphalt from the strip.

#2 1970 Dodge Charger R/T – Panther Pink/White and Banana Yellow/Black

One thing the Dodge Boys had with their muscle cars, besides the Hemi, was some really awesome paint and graphics. In this release, we get the wild Panther Pink and white Charger R/T alongside the Banana Yellow and black running mate. It must have been so cool to walk into the dealerships back in the day and see these on the showroom floor.

#3 1971 AMC Javelin – Mustand Yellow/Black and Electric Blue/White

AMC made big changes in the Javelin and Javelin AMX for 1971. Gone was the 2-seater option, but the styling was updated to include a roof spoiler, some serious front fender bulges and “duck-tail” deck lid spoiler. “Go Packages” added some slick graphics and are captured on both of these models in this release. Copying the factory Mustard Yellow and Electric Blue paint, these will look great on any HO track.

#4 1971 Chevy Camaro Z/28 – Rosewood Poly/White and Placer Gold/Black

The 1971 second generation Camaro was pretty much a carry over from the previous year’s big changes in body work. This release comes in the Rosewood Poly with white striping and Placer Gold with the black stripes. The Placer Gold Camaro has a special spot for me. My Uncle Robbie had this car and would let me (at 13 years old) drive it on the side streets. Shhh, I don’t think my mom and dad knew about this!

#5 1977 Pontiac Firebird – Dark Blue Iridescent and Fiesta Orange

1977 was a banner year for the Pontiac Firebird and the Trans Am in particular. Sales jumped up by 40,000 cars with the exposure of the new design being showcased in Smokey and the Bandit. In this release we get the Dark Blue Iridescent and Fiesta Orange versions of the Firebird.

#6 2010 Chevy Camaro – Inferno Orange/White and Synergy Green/Black

2010 marked the return of the Camaro with the 5th generation model. New retro styling that conveyed the original first generation lines was released and unique colors for that model year included the Synergy Green metallic captured in this release along with the Inferno Orange.
