A “Pony Car”car by definition, is a smaller, sporty and affordable car, noted for it’s log hood, short deck and can be a fastback, coupe or convertible. They usually have bucket seats, room for four and were noted as being nimble and not necessarily a muscle car, but that changed as time and the desire for power to the pavement became a priority. Auto World’s latest XTraction release (SC410) Pony Power Stampede has a stable of eight of these ponies for your Ho slot cart collection. Great examples from Ford, Chevy, Pontiac and AMC are included. Let’s take a look in the stalls and see what we can saddle up!
#1A 2015 Ford Mustang GT – Silver/Black/Red
The 2015 Ford Mustangs were part of the sixth generation Mustang body styles. The 5.0 liter V-8 engine was good for 435 horsepower and a 0-60 acceleration around 4.5 seconds. The GT included unique styling cues including badging, front fascia and rear spoiler.

#1B 2015 Ford Mustang GT – Black/Red/White

#2A 1969 Chevy Camaro – Light Purple/Black
The 1969 Camaro was the last year for the first generation styling although with all new sheet metal except the hood, trunk and roof, in comparison with the 1967 and 1968 models. The model was extended into November of 1969 due to delays in the production of the 1970 (1970-1/2) second generation Camaro. There were multiple and legendary COPO order codes for the 1969 model with various engine, brake and body packages.

#2B 1969 Chevy Camaro – Lime Green/Black

#3A 1977 Pontiac Firebird T/A – Metallic Blue/White/Light Blue
In some circles, the 1977 Pontiac Firebird T/A was the car that saved Pontiac in the 70’s. The combination of the restyling of the second generation Firebird for 1977 with the squared headlights and the starring role (sorry Mr. Reynolds!) in Smokey and the Bandit drove up sales for the car and helped retain its collectible value today. With the iconic flamin’ chicken on the hood, it was the stand out car in the disco era.

#3B 1977 Pontiac Firebird T/A – Chrome Silver/Black

#4A 1971 AMC Javelin AMX – Olive Green/White
1971 was a big change for the AMC Javelin AMX. It went from a two-seater to four, and yes, the original Javelin was 4 seats, but the AMX was 2. Now with a longer wheelbase, engines up to 401 cubic inches and those cool fender bulges, it was a distinct styling shift from the previous models. With Penske Racing tearing up the Trans Am circuits, this car built a following and it was different than anything else out there.

#4B 1971 AMC Javelin AMX – Big Bad Blue/Black
