2026 Auto World ThunderJet SC430 ThunderJet Across America

How many things make it to 250? I racked my brain thinking on this one. I came up with very few. The number of times your daughters ask to repeat a Taylor Swift song on the car stereo? The miles you can drive on a vacation trip before someone needs a rest stop? The average age in days, of dirty laundry in a fraternity house? The number of M&Ms in a family-size bag? Finding anything that makes it to 250 is seemingly rare, so seeing that the United States of America celebrating it’s 250th birthday is quite the accomplishment! And Auto World put together a ThunderJet release celebrating this achievement with the ThunderJet Across America Series (SC430). We get eight great, all-American cars decked out in star-spangled designs, and even red and blue tires. So just like with fireworks, let’s stand back and see what we get with this Yankee-doodle of a release.

#1A & #1B 1957 Chevy Bel Air – White/Red/Blue – Red/White/Blue

You can’t start an American series much better than with hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet! And the 1957 Chevy is one of the best out there to represent the American Dream of the automobile.

#2A & #2B 1964 Ford Thunderbolt – Blue/White/Red – Blue/Silver/Red

The French may have invented automotive racing, but the Americans came up with drag racing and the quarter mile became the measurement for speed and performance. Ford jumped into the factory experimental craze and dominated 1964 with the Thunderbolt and started a performance battle that has never ended.

#3A & #3B – 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona – White/Blue/Red – Red/Blue/White

This release is a rare treat! The ThunderJet Charger Daytona has not been available since it’s initial release as a pullback car. It’s great to see this body back in the line up and available as a full fledged slot racer with ThunderJet power! And the nod to the Tyco Superbird livery was a nice touch of nostalgia.

#4A & #4B 1969 Ford Ice Cream Truck – White/Blue/Red – Silver/Red/Blue

What better way to celebrate the 4th of July and America’s 250th birthday, than to chase down the ice cream man and get a red, white and blue bomb-pop? Nothing better on a hot summer evening! And now you have two trucks you can catch!

Here’s the packaging to look for with this release, Auto World ThunderJet SC430 ThunderJet Across America.
