Pop culture by definition and by simplest terms are those things recognized by the masses by their appeal or familiarity and are generally liked, remembered and drives a following. And it looks like Auto World’s new Pop Culture Series has carved it’s own spot pop culture. This latest release (#SC426) has a varied collection of items from the venerable Rat Fink, Rock n’ Roll royalty with Fender guitars and Japanese automotive restoration legends JDM. But the we’ve saved the best for last…the new John Wick 1969 Ford Mustang! A brand new tooling that captures that, dare I say, “wicked” awesome drive! Let’s take a look at this release.
#1A 1972 Datsun 240Z – White/Rust/Orange/Red – JDM Legends
The Datsun 240Z is one of the best handling slot car bodies to race with, having low rear over hang and an even lower center of gravity. And the very cool JDM Legends livery gracing the hood makes so eye catching you will be the envy of every HO racer on the track.
#1B 1972 Datsun 240Z – White – JDM Legends – Plain
#2A 1977 Dodge Van – Black/Purple – Fender Wizard
The Fender Guitar Wizard is famously portrayed on the sides of the Dodge vans shredding his Stratocaster and ripping out some righteous rifts, looking ready to haul any garage band or group of roadies to the next gig.
#2B 1977 Dodge Van – Black/Red – Fender Wizard
#3A 1955 Chevy Bel Air – Yellow/Black/Flames – Rat Fink
Could you ask for a better fit than the ‘55 Chevy Bel Air and Rat Fink? It’s the match made in hot rod heaven! A hopped up car, wild colors and Rat Fink, what else would you need?
#3B 1955 Chevy Bel Air – Lime/Black/Flames – Rat Fink
#4A 1969 Ford Mustang – Gunmetal/Black – John Wick
Iosef Tarasov: Nice ride. Mustang, Boss 429. She a 70?

John Wick: She’s not for sale.
Oh But she is and you can get yours now for your HO track and John Wick won’t hunt you down for the HO version! This is a brand new tool and Auto World did a fantastic job recreating this ride! I think Mr. Wick would approve!
